Full Job Description

This position is responsible for inspecting and setting up instruments according to company specifications.

Essential Functions:

1) Inspects instruments according to established company standards and specifications.

Performs all steps in QC test as required for each instrument, and registers same in ERP system.
Verifies the model and serial number are correct and match the outside carton label.
Inspects for cosmetic failures - uses buffing machine to remove scratches in finish.
Inspects the electronics on the instrument.
Tunes string instruments.
Sight and adjusts neck.
Adjusts string height and intonation.
Sets floating tremolo system.
Inspects and trouble-shoot minor electronic problems.
Uses belt sander to lower saddles
Raises and lowers frets with proper techniques.
Performs fret check by playing each fretted note.

2) For instruments that do not meet QC test, uses judgement and consults with QC trainer, lead, or supervisor as needed to determine whether to classify as repair needed, second stock, or D-Form.

3) Meets or exceeds company productivity standards.

4) Keeps product organized with corresponding pick paper. Delivers completed orders to the correct designated area.

5) Responsible for informing the supervisor or lead of quality issues and suggested improvements.

6) Complies with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

7) Keeps inventory organized and in proper order. Performs cycle counts and year-end inventory.

8) Keeps work area and aisles clean, disposes of trash in accordance with company procedures.

9) Performs other duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

Knowledge or ability to learn to set up guitars.
2 Years industry experience preferred
Ability to play the guitar strongly preferred
Must be able to use small hand tools
Must be able to operate machinery
Ability to read measurements (Millimeters)
Ability to read and write in English
Ability to perform basic math skills
Ability to perform basic computer skills

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds using proper lifting methods
Ability to differentiate colors
Standing - 8 hours a day
Bending, twisting, and reaching (frequently)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.75 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
