Full Job Description

Reverie Bakeshop is an all plant-based bakery established in 2013. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Part-time Early Morning Baker with a passion for food, baking, and donut making to join our team. We are rapidly growing and want someone that wants to grow with us. This role is essential in crafting high-quality vegan pastries for our bakery, ensuring that fresh, delicious products are available to our customers each morning.

This position's hours begin promptly at 3AM

*Varies for weekends & holidays*

Responsibilities

Getting the bakery ready and cases filled early in the morning
Prepare and make a variety of baked goods according to recipes and quality standards. We are a scratch kitchen, must have knowledge of baking from scratch.
Prepare and decorate donuts and pastries using icing, glazes, and other toppings.
Prepare a variety of baked goods, including but not limited to kolaches, muffins, cookies, cinnamon rolls, and more.
Maintain a clean and organized baking environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
Operate and maintain baking equipment, such as mixers, ovens, proofers, and fryers.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating needs to management.
Work independently during early hours, maintaining productivity and quality standards.

Skills

Proven experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role.
Dedicated to achieving the best product and appearance for display and sale
Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters
Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
Knowledge of a variety of baking techniques and fermentation processes.
Ability to work overnight and early morning shifts.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and with others.
Good organizational and time-management skills to meet production deadlines.
Knowledge of cross-contamination, allergens, food handling and safety regulations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
Certification from a culinary school is a plus

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
