Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our procurement team. In this vital role, you will drive the sourcing and purchasing processes to ensure the seamless supply of materials, products, and services essential for our operations. Your expertise will help optimize manage supplier relationships and support the overall efficiency of our procurement activities. Duties

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement needs and develop sourcing strategies that align with company goals
Manage purchase orders using ERP systems such as INTACCT, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
Conduct supplier evaluations, negotiate contracts, and establish strong vendor relationships to secure competitive pricing and reliable delivery.
Oversee PCard transactions ensuring proper job costing processes, including drafting, reviewing, and securing approvals. Oversee the flow.
Track procurement metrics and generate reports to analyze purchasing patterns and recommend improvements
Coordinate logistics and transportation arrangements to facilitate smooth delivery of all railroad activities.

Qualifications

Proven experience in procurement management.
Strong proficiency with ERP systems such as INTACCT for purchase order processing and job costing
In-depth knowledge of sourcing strategies, contract negotiation, vendor management, and supply chain principles
Familiarity with procurement tools like MRPs, pricing analysis, and contract management software
Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to build lasting supplier relationships
Ability to analyze buying opportunity data, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
