Full Job Description

Inter-Con Security is hosting a Hiring Event for Protective Services Officers in Washington, DC and is actively hiring for immediate openings supporting federal and high-security environments.

This position offers $35.13/hour and is ideal for candidates with military, law enforcement, or security experience who are prepared to meet federal-level requirements, including clearance eligibility.

Hiring Event Location: 8001 Forbes Street, Springfield, VA

Dress Code: Business Casual Required for interview (No Jeans or Athletic Wear)
Athletic wear should be brought and changed into for the PRTs.

Please note: This is the interview location. Job assignments will be across the Washington, DC metro area, including Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland.
This is a centralized hiring event. Selected candidates may be placed at various high-security sites based on availability and qualifications.

Position Overview

Protective Services Officers are responsible for maintaining safety and security at federal and high-risk facilities. This role requires a high level of professionalism, physical readiness, and the ability to meet strict compliance standards.

Inter-Con is searching for motivated individuals to fill the exciting role of an Armed Diplomatic Security Officer. In this role, you’ll work as a galvanized member of an elite team of security operators protecting some of our nation’s most critical assets and diplomats. You will be part of the comprehensive security solution to protect ours and visiting nations’ diplomats across multiple locations in the United States.

Competitive pay starting at $35.13 an hour plus an additional $5.50 an hour for health benefits (Pay is based on if you have a security clearance or not)

Basic Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be a U.S. citizen
High school diploma or GED
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Valid U.S. driver’s license (REAL ID required)
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance

Experience Requirements (Must meet ONE of the following)

Minimum 3 years active duty military service (E-4 or higher, honorable discharge)
Graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program
Minimum 3 years law enforcement or military police experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice (or 60 credits with core coursework) + relevant experience
Minimum 1 year armed security experience OR 5 years unarmed security experience

Work Environment and Schedule

Position requires prolonged standing and walking, in the performance of daily security activities. Job operates in client sites which could be indoors or outdoors.
Open availability Nights, Weekends, Holidays and overtime as directed (overtime occurs).
Work various shifts and Holidays as assigned.
Must maintain flexibility regarding job assignments and locations.
Time flexibility depending on the needs of the company.
