Full Job Description

Job Summary:

The Bookkeeper Role is to join our Accounting department and assist with payables and receivables, payroll and other related activities for our company. We need a professional, team player with the willingness to learn, and the attention to detail necessary to ensure accurate reporting in all areas.

Competencies required for this position should include:

5. Detail oriented with strong focus on Customer Service

Essential Functions for this position should include, but not limited to:

· Contribute to the execution of the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes including completing reconciliations

· Work collaboratively with Accounting Team and the Finance Director to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements accounts including revenue, debt, accounts receivable, accruals, interest expense and debt; etc

· Review, investigate, and correct discrepancies or inconsistencies in financial entries

· Attend to office calls as required

· Attend to intercom & visitors as required

Match and mail weekly check runs
Match customer payments to open customer invoices
Maintain all Accounting Files
Assist in all areas of AP, AR, & Payroll
Collect and maintain Customer and Vendor Document data fields

· Work closely with internal and external auditors in completing audits providing appropriate insight and documentation

· Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies

· Responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism with clients and vendors and working to establish a positive rapport with every call

· Maintains supplier and customer records by updating account information

· To monitor uphold and enforce company policy and standards at all times when present in the facility.

Requirements:

Ø 5+ years of relevant experience, inclusive of extensive experience with accounting close processes, reconciliations, preparation of financial statements including the statement of cash flow, process improvement and financial analysis

Ø Detail oriented with a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Ø Proven track record for driving process efficiencies and solving problems

Ø Strong communication skills both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills

Ø Strong organizational skills and detail oriented

Ø Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, advanced in Microsoft Excel

Ø Experience in Quick Books & ERP a plus

Ø Fluency in Spanish a plus
