Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards. This role is essential accounting support operations and will involve a variety of tasks related to corporate accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger management for Full Service Restaurant and Catering Companies.

Duties

Preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Manage accounts receivable by processing invoices and tracking payments.
Manage accounts payable
Perform journal entries and maintain the general ledger to ensure accuracy.
Preparation of financial reports for accountant review.
Payroll
Utilize financial software to enter data, generate reports, and analyze financial information.
Maintain organized records for all financial transactions and documentation.
Fufill governmental accounting processes as needed.
Count and balance start banks and deposits for various accounts.

Requirements

Proficiency in corporate accounting principles and practices.
Strong understanding of technical accounting concepts, including GAAP.
Experience with accounts receivable processes and general ledger accounting.
Familiarity with Quickbooks
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 40.0 per week
