Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial accounting and general ledger accounting, with expertise in budgeting and account reconciliation. This role requires proficiency in Excel, Quicken, and a thorough understanding of GAAP principles. As a CPA, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP.
Manage the general ledger accounting process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances.
Collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making.
Provide guidance on tax compliance and reporting requirements.
Review financial transactions for accuracy and completeness.
Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is required.
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles.
Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting; experience with Quicken is a plus.
Knowledge of financial accounting standards and practices.
Experience with budgeting processes and account reconciliation.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
