Full Job Description

Wyandotte Nation Government is accepting applications for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Accounting Administrative Assistant to join our team. This position provides essential accounting and administrative support by processing and reconciling financial transactions, verifying and coding invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely vendor payments while resolving billing discrepancies. The Accounting Administrative Assistant also serves as the first point of contact for callers and visitors, delivering professional and courteous customer service, directing inquiries appropriately, maintaining filing systems, processing accounting documents, and supporting daily office operations. The successful candidate must uphold strict confidentiality standards, including compliance with HIPAA regulations, and maintain a professional work environment while performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties.

Qualified applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; a certificate from a college or technical school and six to twelve months of related accounting or administrative experience is preferred. Candidates should have strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills, proficiency with basic office and accounting functions, and excellent telephone etiquette. Applicants must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, maintain confidentiality, pass required background, physical, and drug screenings, possess a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel for meetings, training, and other tribal business as needed.
