Overview

We are looking for NC licensed therapists. Join our dynamic mental health team as a dedicated Mental Health Counselor, where your expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals facing diverse psychological challenges. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy and support to clients across various settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, and via telehealth platforms. Your work will empower clients to overcome mental health obstacles, develop resilience, and achieve their personal goals. We are committed to fostering a positive environment that values professional growth, diversity, and holistic patient care. Must be licensed in North Carolina

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to inform treatment planning.
Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute psychiatric episodes effectively and ensure client safety.
Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and HIPAA regulations to track progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
Provide specialized counseling for children, adolescents, and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, incorporating child & youth therapy techniques.
Facilitate case management activities including patient care coordination, medical documentation, and communication with multidisciplinary teams.
Utilize telehealth therapy platforms to expand access to mental health services while maintaining clinical ethical guidelines and confidentiality standards.

Skills

Proven experience in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and addiction counseling.
Strong knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9 & ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation.
Skilled in crisis management, behavior management, substance abuse, grief counseling, and PTSD care with a focus on trauma-informed approaches.
Excellent clinical documentation skills adhering to medical records standards and EMR/EHR systems proficiency.
Experience working with diverse populations including adolescents, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or co-occurring disorders; familiarity with special education settings is a plus.
Ability to conduct mental health assessments and treatment planning within outpatient or inpatient environments; experience in hospital settings is advantageous.
Competence in telehealth services delivery while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and clinical ethical guidelines.
