Full Job Description

Role: Senior Accountant

Location: Brea, CA (Hybrid Schedule)

Pay:

Contract: $38 – $45 / hour
Upon Conversion: $80,000–$95,000 annually
Annual Bonus: Estimated 5–8%

Benefits: This role is eligible for medical, dental, vision and 401k.

Summary

An established organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. This role partners with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data and reporting while contributing to continuous process improvement.

Responsibilities

Perform month-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries.
Maintain general ledger and subledger records, account reconciliations, and financial analyses.
Prepare financial reports and reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders.
Support audits by providing financial documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards.
Maintain process documentation and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.
Collaborate with internal departments to provide accounting guidance and support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred.
5+ years of progressive general ledger accounting experience in a corporate environment preferred.
Strong knowledge of GAAP (IFRS experience is a plus).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including working with large datasets and complex formulas.
Experience with ERP systems; Oracle experience preferred.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience with account reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support.
