Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources/Admin Assistant to support our organizational operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to various HR functions, including talent management, employee relations, and administrative processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of human resources practices.

This person will also assist in payroll duties and responsibilities as part of the business office.

Responsibilities

Complete new hire and annual background checks
Become fingerprint vendor for SCCS and schedule and complete fingerprints on potential employees.
Coordinate with supervisors for new hire employees and staffing needs
Coordinating and conducting ne hire orientations
Submitting and obtaining required documents- FMLA/STD forms
Obtaining documents and filing them (Contracts, leases, etc.)
Reconciling vouchers with the County Clerk
Ordering office supplies
Answering phones
Submitting Employment Verifications to the state in a timely manner
Maintaining employee filing of I-9's, Tax forms, etc.
Willing to become a Direct Support Provider (DSP) for persons served at this agency.
Assist in human capital management activities such as recruitment, onboarding, employee orientation, and performance evaluations.
Support benefits administration processes, including data entry and benefits enrollment procedures.
Maintain accurate records
Coordinate employee relations initiatives and facilitate effective communication between staff and management.
This position requires the employee to be pleasant, respectful, and helpful to the visitors and staff.

Experience

Must have 3 to 5 years of HR experience in administrative support roles preferably within human resources or related fields.
Knowledge of employment laws including FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), OSHA regulations, and labor law compliance.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on confidentiality and professionalism.
Prior experience in benefits administration, employee evaluation processes, training & development programs, and conflict management is highly desirable. Join our team to make a meaningful impact by supporting our staff and advancing our mission through dedicated human resources administration!
