About Us

Synergy Recovery Institute LLC is an outpatient behavioral health practice dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered mental health services to individuals and families throughout the District of Columbia.

Our services include:

Individual Psychotherapy
Family Therapy
Telehealth Services
Integrated Behavioral Healthcare

As our organization expands, we are seeking an experienced and highly organized Practice Administrator to oversee the daily operations of the practice and ensure operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and exceptional patient service.

Position Summary

The Practice Administrator is responsible for the overall administrative, operational, financial, and compliance management of Synergy Recovery Institute LLC.

This individual will work closely with the Owner, clinical leadership, providers, and administrative staff to ensure efficient practice operations while maintaining compliance with all applicable federal, District of Columbia, payer, and accreditation requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Practice Operations

Manage daily operations of the behavioral health practice.
Supervises administrative staff.
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
Coordinate scheduling and patient flow.
Monitor productivity and operational efficiency.
Manage vendor relationships.
Oversee office facilities and equipment.

Human Resources

Coordinate recruitment and onboarding.
Maintain employee records.
Monitor professional licenses and certifications.
Coordinate annual performance evaluations.
Schedule staff training and continuing education.
Assist with employee relations and personnel matters.

Revenue Cycle Management

Monitor insurance billing operations.
Review accounts receivable.
Monitor denied claims.
Coordinate claim corrections.
Review provider productivity reports.
Assist with budgeting and financial reporting.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

Maintain audit readiness.
Monitor HIPAA compliance.
Ensure OSHA compliance.
Coordinate Quality Assurance activities.
Monitor documentation compliance.
Prepare for payer and regulatory audits.
Coordinate corrective action plans.

Patient Services

Oversee patient satisfaction initiatives.
Manage patient complaints and grievance resolution.
Ensure exceptional customer service.
Monitor appointment scheduling efficiency.
Improve patient access to care.

Strategic Growth

Assist with expansion initiatives.
Coordinate new service implementation.
Develop operational improvement plans.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
Support organizational growth and scalability.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Management, Nursing, or a related field.

Preferred:

Master's degree (MHA, MBA, MPH) preferred.

Experience

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in one or more of the following:

Behavioral Health Practice Management
Medical Practice Administration
Healthcare Operations
Outpatient Clinic Management
Healthcare Compliance
Revenue Cycle Management

Experience with behavioral health practices is strongly preferred.
