Full Job Description

Position: Contract Administrator, Buyer Expeditor Aerospace Manufacturing

Our firm is a well-established and a growing niche manufacturer of aircraft parts. We are located in the northern Anaheim area and have an opening for a dual role position as a Contract Administrator, Buyer Expeditor to join our team

Will also serve in procurement, creating Purchase Orders to our niche raw material, processing, subcontracted machining and NDT suppliers. Send out RFQs, Negotiate, award orders, performing following up and expediting orders placed. Experience with procurement of bar stock metals, castings, forgings, and processing such as heat treatment, plating, anodizing. Also procurement of aerospace hardware, fasteners, etc.. s.

This position supports the Contract Administration team, receiving order from our Prime Aerospace customers, matching order terms with that which was quoted, confirming orders, serving as point of contact for communications with the customers for change orders and for delivery status..

This role also supports the estimating and purchasing functions, supporting the Marketing team with the receiving, preparing and submitting pricing bids and proposals to customers. Researching prior orders and gathering historical paperwork and presenting data to the estimating staff.

The successful candidate must have a background in manufacturing in either machine shop operations, or a similar related environment. Must have good organization skills, functional communication skills to co workers and customers, and have solid MS Office skills with intermediate Excel skills

Some specific Job Duties include but not limited to:

Receive, acknowledge, process and organize new customer orders.
Serve as a customer Point of Contact for select customers; responding to their inquiries, order changes, provide status of orders.
Gather electronic and paper files, print engineering drawings, and build new order packages for new order planning purposes.
Assist with preparing pricing proposals. Obtain supplier costs, perform financial analysis.
Perform purchase order creation, award, expediting and status follup up calls.
Follow up and expedite orders placed with suppliers.
Submitting sales quotations to customers. Accessing various online customer quoting and data transfer website portals
Assist with answering incoming phones and generic emails.Skill Set and Experience Required:
Excellent MS office skills with intermediate EXCEL and MS Word skills, plus email, PDF creation skills.
Excellent communicator and organized worker.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision and show initiative and self motivation.
Experience with MRP systems such as VISTA, Epicore, Job Boss, or any type of manufacturing MRP system is highly desired.
Experience working in a Machine shop or other manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
Procurement experience with commodities such as metals, bar stock, castings, forgings.
Procurement experience with specialty machined parts finishing vendors such as heat treators, plating, anodizing, coatings, NDT, etc..
A pleasant and easy to understand telephone presentation and demeanor is required and functional communication.
Working knowledge of copiers, scanners, phone systems, workstation computer basic problem solving skills.

Education:

High School Graduate required.

Desired: At a minimum, a two year degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, Accounting, Purchasing or a related certificate program is highly desired. Several years relevant work experience may substitute for a lack of formal education.

Citizenship:

Due to our working with US Government contracts the applicant must be a US Citizen, or permanent resident (aka Greencard).

This is a full time position in our air conditioned facility.

Monday through Friday 8 hr shifts. Some overtime is possible.
