Typical Shift

We offer flexible scheduling with part-time opportunities and one-on-one, client-based care.

Whether you're looking for a few hours each week or a consistent part-time schedule, we'll work with you to find assignments that fit your lifestyle while making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors.

Your shift will start with traveling to the home of your assigned client. Client needs vary, so we match Care Pros’ skills to each client's needs. You may be asked to perform light housekeeping, companionship, outings, medical appointments, showers, toileting, medication reminders, dressing, grooming, oral care, escorting, transferring, medication administration, or any other ADL or IADL according to the client’s needs. You will NOT be asked to do skilled nursing tasks like injections, wound care, or therapy.

Shifts are matched to your personal preferences and availability whenever possible and may include:

Morning Shifts
Afternoon Shifts
Evening Shifts
Overnight Shifts
Weekend Shifts

Candidate Profiles:

Assisting patients with personal hygiene, dressing, bathing, and other activities of daily living.
Helping with general light housekeeping.
Making arrangements for or providing transportation as needed.
Observing and reporting on a patient’s condition.
Keeping up with in-service training.
Enters patients records daily in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy and procedures; incidents and observations, reports any changes in patients’ physical condition and/or behavior; observes and documents the health and emotional condition of each patient; promptly reports any changes to the supervisor

Pay

At Home Instead Louisville, we value the dedication and compassion of our Care Professionals. That's why we offer competitive pay and rewarding incentives.

Starting pay: $14.00 per hour
Weekend Shift Differential: Earn an additional $1.00 per hour for weekend shifts
Employee Referral Bonus: Receive $250 for each eligible Care Professional you refer
Holiday Pay: Premium pay for eligible holiday shifts
Flexible Part-Time Scheduling: Hours based on your personal preferences and availability

Requirements

Reliable transportation with Valid Driver's Licence and Car Insurance
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
In-home caregiving experience supporting elderly clients with ADLs
Experience creating a safe, effective environment
Listening, analyzing information, and focusing on quality
Dependability and punctuality
Physical ability to reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and lift up to 25 lbs. while avoiding potential injury from transferring, repositioning, or lifting residents
