Job Title: Alternative Delivery Manager - Heavy Civil Projects

Location: Greater Nashville, TN (Office-Based)

Compensation: $100,000 - $150,000 + Benefits

Job Type: Full-Time

A leading heavy civil infrastructure contractor is seeking an experienced Alternative Delivery Manager to join its growing transportation division. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the pursuit, planning, and delivery of major transportation infrastructure projects across a range of alternative delivery models.

The successful candidate will provide leadership throughout the entire project lifecycle, from business development and preconstruction through design management and transition into construction. You'll work alongside senior leadership, design partners, and project teams to develop winning strategies and deliver complex infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and pursue new alternative delivery opportunities through client and industry relationships.
Support business development activities, including pursuit planning and market strategy.
Develop competitive proposals, qualifications, and technical submissions.
Lead preconstruction and design management activities on assigned projects.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, design consultants, joint venture partners, and subcontractors.
Facilitate project meetings, design reviews, workshops, and stakeholder engagement.
Develop project schedules, budgets, cost estimates, and technical solutions.
Prepare Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) packages and ensure a smooth transition into construction.
Support hiring, mentoring, and development of the Alternative Delivery team.
Represent the business at industry conferences, client meetings, and networking events.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in project management, construction management, or alternative delivery within heavy civil infrastructure.
Proven experience delivering major highway, bridge, rail, or transportation projects.
Strong understanding of Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC), Design-Build (DB), Progressive Design-Build (PDB), or similar delivery methods.
Experience developing pursuit strategies, pricing approaches, project schedules, and technical proposals.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of estimating, scheduling, project controls, and project management software.
Professional Engineer (PE) licence and/or DBIA certification is advantageous but not essential.
Valid driver's licence.
