Full Job Description

About the Role

PeppermintOne is a multi-brand consumer products company managing distribution and eCommerce across food, automotive & home improvement, and pet care categories. We're hiring a hands-on Ecommerce Marketplace & Website Manager to own day-to-day performance across our marketplaces — Amazon, Walmart, Faire, RangeMe, and our own Shopify sites — with a clear mandate to hit monthly sales goals.

Paid advertising execution is handled by an outside agency, and our Shopify lifecycle marketing (email/SMS automation, tracking) is handled by a specialized outside partner — but you'll set targets, evaluate performance, and direct strategy for both, so you need real judgment in each area, not just familiarity with the concepts. Day to day, you'll own order processing, listing optimization, merchandising, reviews, storefront presentation, and conversion-rate improvement across every channel.

What You'll Own

Marketplace Performance & Sales Goals — Manage day-to-day operations across Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Connect, Faire, RangeMe (or other retail platforms), and Shopify, with accountability for hitting a monthly sales goal per platform
PPC Agency Oversight — Set and monitor monthly ACOS/ROAS/sales targets per platform for our PPC agency; personally review search-term reports and campaign performance to independently verify agency recommendations and results (not just accept their reporting at face value); conduct quarterly agency performance reviews against agreed KPIs; if the agency consistently misses sales or efficiency targets, identify and evaluate alternative agency options and make a recommendation on whether to continue, renegotiate, or replace
Listing, SEO & AI Search Optimization — Own backend search term strategy, titles, bullets, images, A+ content, and meta descriptions across all marketplaces and our Shopify sites to improve organic ranking and conversion — including optimizing product and content pages for AI/LLM-driven search and answer engines (ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, etc) as a growing discovery channel, independent of paid traffic
Shopify Digital Ecosystem Coordination — Serve as the internal point of contact for outside Klaviyo/lifecycle automation agency: brief them on inventory, promotions, product launches, and marketplace-side context; review their tracking setup (GA4, Meta Pixel, UTM) and lifecycle flow performance (abandoned cart, welcome series, post-purchase, win-back) against agreed conversion and revenue targets; coordinate with internal teams on flow content/creative alignment; manage the relationship going forward, including flagging underperformance and evaluating whether to continue, adjust scope, or replace the agency
Order Processing & Fulfillment — Process all incoming orders across every marketplace and website in the backend daily (order confirmation, shipping method/label coordination, status updates)
Merchandising & Promotions — Own the promo calendar across platforms (i.e. Lightning Deals, coupons, Subscribe & Save, Walmart Spark, Faire trade promotions, etc) and coordinate timing with inventory and agency ad pushes
Reviews & Ratings Generation — Own the review-generation cadence per platform/product and monitor rating trends, flagging quality or product issues surfaced in reviews
Storefront & Brand Page Optimization — Maintain and improve Amazon Brand Store, Walmart brand shelf, RangeMe and Faire storefront presentation on an ongoing basis
A/B Testing & Conversion — Run a structured testing calendar (images, titles, A+ content, pricing, etc) to continuously improve buyer journey and conversion rate
Data & Reporting — Produce a recurring performance report per marketplace identifying specific gaps and a prioritized action plan
Competitive Monitoring — Track competitor pricing, listings, and promotions per platform and recommend responses
Inventory & Pricing Accuracy — Work with internal teams to keep pricing and inventory levels accurate across all platforms and sites

What You Must Bring

3–5+ years managing an Amazon Seller Central (or similar marketplace) account day-to-day as a full-time — hands-on listing, order processing, and marketplace operations experience, and accountable to shared sales goals
Prior hands-on experience personally managing Amazon PPC campaigns (minimum 1–2 years) — campaign structure, keyword/bid management, and search-term report analysis. This role does not execute PPC directly (an agency handles execution), but you must be able to independently read a search-term report, identify wasted spend, and judge whether campaign structure and bids are sound — direct enough to give an agency real pushback and direction
Hands-on experience processing marketplace orders in a backend/seller system
Hands-on Shopify (or similar DTC platform) management — product uploads, collections, on-site content, order processing
Comfortable owning a monthly sales number and reporting against it

What Moves You Toward the Top of the Range

A track record of measurable ACOS/ROAS improvement or successful agency management you can speak to with real numbers
Experience running review-generation or promotions programs that moved conversion rate
Prior experience managing a lifecycle marketing or CRM agency/vendor relationship

Nice to Have

Experience with marketplace analytics/reporting tools (Jungle Scout, or similar)
Background in food, automotive & home improvement, or pet care consumer products
Basic familiarity with lifecycle email/SMS marketing concepts (flows, segmentation, tracking) sufficient to brief and evaluate an outside specialist/agency
