Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Designer with proven experience in a landscape architecture firm and a strong understanding of the luxury market. The ideal candidate will bring refined design sensibilities, technical proficiency, and the ability to collaborate on projects from concept through documentation. This role is part-time and freelance, with the potential to grow into a full-time position as our project pipeline expands.

Key Responsibilities

Develop design concepts, planting plans, and site layouts in collaboration with the project team
Prepare CAD drawings, renderings, and presentation materials for client-facing meetings
Assist with site analysis, code review, and regulatory compliance documentation
Engage directly with clients, presenting ideas and guiding them through the design process with professionalism and clarity
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal team members to ensure design intent is maintained
Contribute to project workflows, billing documentation, and task tracking as needed
Support marketing and client-facing presentations with polished, professional visuals

Qualifications

3–5 years of professional experience in a landscape architecture or design firm
Demonstrated ability to design for luxury residential projects and high-end clientele
Proficiency in CAD drafting, Adobe Creative Suite, and other design visualization tools
Strong knowledge of planting design, site planning, and construction documentation
Familiarity with zoning codes, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements
Excellent communication skills and confidence in client-facing interactions
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a freelance capacity
