Full Job Description

EST Analytical is looking to fill a Field Service Engineer position with a focus on Agilent Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) instrumentation. The position will be based at a customer site in Rahway, NJ with the possibility of some travel (< 15%) to other customer locations in the NJ/NY/DE/PA area.

EST Analytical is a partner with Agilent Technologies, and as such, the Field Service Engineer would work within the Agilent Authorized Service Provider (ASP) program.

Key responsibilities include on-site installation, customer training, repair and troubleshooting of hardware, and routine preventative maintenance and qualification services. The job focus will be on customer satisfaction by providing customers with high-quality services. Additional responsibilities include managing parts, timely submission of service reports, providing feedback to manufacturing divisions, collaborating with the sales team, and maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge of assigned products.

Field Service Engineer Qualifications

2 to 5 years of analytical laboratory experience with a focus on HPLC Instrumentation
Experience with Agilent HPLC instrumentation is desired for this position
BS in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, etc. or Electronics or equivalent
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong planning, problem solving, and communication skills to function with minimal supervision
Strong computer skills
Ability to travel to Wilmington, Delaware for 1-2 weeks every few months for training during the first year and a half of employment
