We are currently seeking a Assistant Pastry Chef with a strong passion for creating exceptional baked goods and desserts to join our talented kitchen team.

Job Description: Assistant to Pastry Chef

The Assistant Pastry Chef will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality pastries, cakes, and desserts, while maintaining exceptional standards of taste, appearance, and consistency. This role requires creativity, precision, and a strong understanding of baking techniques.

Principal Responsibilities:

Design, prepare, and decorate a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
Create recipes and contribute to menu development with innovative ideas.
Ensure consistency and quality in all products.
Supervise pastry production and manage workflow efficiently.
Maintain proper storage and inventory of ingredients and supplies.
Ensure adherence to food safety standards and maintain a clean workspace.
Collaborate with the culinary team to create cohesive dessert offerings.
Train and guide junior staff members as needed.
Assist in special projects such as seasonal desserts and event catering.

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

Proven experience in :Pastry , Baking, or similar role.
Certification in Culinary Arts or Baking & Pastry preferred.
Proficiency in advanced baking and decorating techniques.
Ability to create and adapt recipes to meet customer needs.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Creative flair with attention to detail and presentation.

Job Details:

Pay: $10.50 - $14.00 per hour (based on experience).
Hours: 37 – 40 per week; require weekends and holidays.
Location: On-site in Aguadilla.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary
