Full Job Description

Buddeez, an injection plastics molding manufacturer, has a new position for a Supply Chain/Production Planning Manager on 1st Shift (7:00 am – 4:00 pm) with some overtime required.

This position is responsible for all procurement activity required to sustain Buddeez's injection molding operations, the supervision of two direct-reports, and full ownership of the production scheduling function across 32 injection molding machines. This role sits at the intersection of supply chain, operations, and production planning, requiring a hands-on leader capable of balancing vendor relationships, material availability, and machine utilization to keep production running at peak efficiency. This position will:

· Source, negotiate, and oversee purchase of materials, components, and supplies required for injection molding production, including resins, colorants, packaging, and auxiliary materials.

· Directly supervise Procurement Coordinator & Scheduling Coordinator; assign work, set priorities, and provide day-to-day guidance to prevent production interruptions.

· Develop and maintain vendor relationships; evaluate suppliers on cost, quality, lead time, and reliability.

· Improve and maintain the master production schedule across 32 injection molding machines, balancing customer demand, material availability, and machine capacity.

· Plan and coordinate all mold changes, sequencing changeovers to minimize downtime and maximize throughput. Communicate schedule changes to production, tooling, and quality teams in a timely and accurate manner.

· Adjust schedules proactively in response to machine downtime, material shortages, or customer priority shifts.

· Develop and document standard operating procedures for purchasing and scheduling functions.

Ideal candidate will have an Associates degree with 3 to 5 years of experience in procurement/purchasing and scheduling production in a high-mix multi-machine manufacturing environment. Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in plastic injection molding, processing and knowledge of resins are a plus.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
