As our Controls & Automation team continues to grow throughout the Carolinas, we're seeking a Senior Controls Engineer who enjoys solving complex automation challenges, mentoring engineers, and leading projects from concept through commissioning.
This hybrid position offers flexibility with a mix of remote work, time in our Statesville, NC office, and travel to customer facilities throughout the U.S.
Candidates should reside within approximately two hours of Statesville, NC.

What You'll Do
As a Senior Controls Engineer, you'll serve as the technical leader on automation projects, partnering directly with customers and internal teams to deliver high-quality control system solutions.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Lead complex controls and automation projects from concept/design, through commissioning and support
- Design and develop PLC, HMI, SCADA, and industrial automation solutions
- Program, troubleshoot, test, and commission manufacturing control systems
- Develop control hardware designs and electrical panel layouts
- Integrate robotics and machine vision systems
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
- Ensure project quality, technical excellence, and on-time delivery
- Collaborate closely with customers to solve challenging manufacturing automation problems
We're looking for engineers who bring strong experience in industrial automation, particularly:
- Siemens PLC/HMI platforms
- Rockwell / Allen-Bradley
- Schneider Electric
- GE and other major PLC platforms
- SCADA systems
- Industrial networking
- Robotics integration
- Machine vision systems
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical is a plus.

- Has extensive experience implementing PLC, HMI, and SCADA solutions
- Understands industrial safety standards including NEC, NFPA 79, UL, OSHA, and related regulations
