Silverman Theologou LLP is a multi-state law firm with offices in Maryland, Virginia, Florida, and California. As we continue to expand our practice and presence in Texas, we are seeking a Texas-licensed Attorney to serve as a trusted advisor regarding Texas civil litigation procedures, court practices, and operational development.
This opportunity is ideal for a solo practitioner or small law firm with an established Texas practice who is interested in developing a long-term relationship with a growing multi-state law firm.
Initially, this relationship will focus on providing strategic guidance regarding Texas civil litigation procedures, court practices, and legal issues, while assisting the Firm in developing and strengthening its Texas practice. As our Texas practice evolves, this relationship may expand into a more formal arrangement, including ongoing part-time engagement or an Of Counsel relationship.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic guidance regarding Texas civil litigation procedures, court rules, and local practices.
- Advise on Texas legal issues, procedural requirements, and litigation strategy.
- Assist with questions involving Texas civil litigation, judgment enforcement, and related legal matters.
- Review and provide guidance on pleadings, motions, and other legal filings as requested.
- Collaborate with Firm leadership to develop standard operating procedures, workflows, and best practices for attorneys and support staff supporting the Texas practice.
- Assist in developing scalable legal and operational processes as the Firm's Texas practice continues to grow.
- Serve as a trusted legal resource regarding evolving Texas laws, procedural changes, and court practices.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff across multiple office locations.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Texas and in good standing.
- Established practice in Texas as a solo practitioner or member of a small law firm preferred.
- Experience advising clients in civil litigation matters preferred.
- Experience with creditors' rights, collections, commercial litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, or related practice areas is a plus but not required.
- Strong knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Texas court practices.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and legal writing skills.
- Interest in developing a collaborative, long-term professional relationship.

Compensation
Compensation is negotiable and will be structured based upon experience, anticipated scope of work, and the nature of the engagement.
