Boutique Sales & Social Media Associate

Coastal Current Boutique is growing, and we’re looking for a polished, motivated, and creative Boutique Sales & Social Media Associate to join our team full-time.
This role blends fashion, sales, customer service, content creation, Shopify, and digital marketing. The ideal candidate loves helping women feel confident, enjoys creating engaging social media content, and can help bring the Coastal Current brand to life both in-store and online.
Important: Shopify experience is strongly preferred. If you do not have Shopify experience but have experience with another POS system, website platform, or e-commerce platform, please include that information when applying. Canva and social media experience are required for this position.
What You’ll Do:
Deliver white-glove customer service and help customers feel confident, styled, and welcomed
Greet customers warmly and provide personalized styling assistance
Assist customers with outfit styling, sizing, product questions, and purchases
Promote new arrivals, best sellers, outfit ideas, and full looks to encourage sales
Support daily store operations, including opening, closing, restocking, tagging, and keeping the sales floor beautiful
Process retail transactions accurately through Shopify POS, including cash and credit card payments
Use Shopify for product uploads, inventory updates, online orders, and website support
Help package and process online orders with care and attention to detail
Assist with inventory management, including restocking, organizing, tagging, and regular stock checks
Create engaging social media content, including photos, videos, reels, stories, and behind-the-scenes posts
Help plan and execute content for new arrivals, promotions, sales, live sales, and events
Use Canva to create digital marketing graphics, sale promos, event flyers, and social media content
Take photos and videos of products, outfits, store displays, and new arrivals
Model or help style others for product photos and social content
Create product-focused content that highlights fit, fabric, styling ideas, and new arrivals
Respond professionally to social media messages, comments, online inquiries, and customer questions
Assist with live sales, pop-ups, in-store events, and promotions
Help maintain Coastal Current’s brand standards in-store, online, and across social media
Maintain attractive merchandising displays and keep the store looking fresh, full, and on-brand
Problem-solve quickly and professionally as store needs arise
What We’re Looking For:
Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a boutique or specialty retail environment
Strong sales skills and a customer-first mindset
Social media experience is required
Canva experience is required
Shopify experience is strongly preferred
Experience with another POS system, website platform, or e-commerce platform may be considered
Comfortable using Instagram, Facebook, stories, reels, and content creation tools
Enjoys taking pictures, creating content, and bringing ideas to life
Comfortable being on camera or helping create behind-the-scenes content
Experience with upselling, product styling, and helping customers complete a full look
Comfortable with POS systems, cash handling, basic retail math, and attention to detail
Strong communication skills both in person and online
A love for fashion and the ability to confidently style customers
Clean, appropriate, and fashionable appearance that reflects the Coastal Current brand
Organized, reliable, punctual, self-motivated, and able to work independently
Able to problem-solve and adjust quickly in a busy boutique setting
Ability to lift, move, and assist with setup for events, displays, and pop-ups
Must love dogs — our shop pups are part of the Coastal Current family
Schedule & Availability:
Full-time position
Flexible availability required, including weekends and special events
Hours may vary based on store needs, promotions, and events
