Full Job Description

At Coastal ABA, we believe families deserve more than behavior plans; they deserve someone who can help them understand their child, build confidence, and create meaningful change in everyday life.

The Thriving Parent Project (TPP) is designed to close the gap between diagnosis and support. Instead of creating dependence on services, our goal is to build confident caregivers, strengthen family systems, and help parents respond more flexibly during the moments that matter most.

We are looking for a BCBA who is excited about the future of ABA. Someone who enjoys working directly with parents, thinks beyond traditional compliance-based approaches, and wants to help build a better model of care.

This isn't a position where you'll spend your days writing programs for technicians. Instead, you'll coach parents, solve real-world problems, and help families build sustainable skills that last long after services end.

Who We're Looking For

We're searching for someone who:

Has experience providing parent training and enjoys partnering with families.
Understands Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT), or is excited to continue developing those skills.
Recognizes that behavior is communication—not only for children, but for parents as well.
Understands that parent behavior is shaped by the same behavioral principles we teach, including reinforcement, punishment, and avoidance.
Brings curiosity before judgment.
Is emotionally intelligent and able to build trust with families experiencing stress, uncertainty, and burnout.
Enjoys solving complex behavioral challenges rather than applying one-size-fits-all solutions.
Is reflective, collaborative, and eager to continue learning.
Wants to help shape the future of parent-focused ABA.

What You'll Do

Provide remote ABA parent training to families of children with autism.
Collaborate with parents to identify meaningful goals and practical strategies.
Use behavioral principles and ACT to increase flexibility, confidence, and resilience.
Develop individualized plans that families can realistically implement.
Participate in small team meetings focused on collaboration, clinical growth, and innovation.
Contribute ideas as we continue building a new model for delivering ABA services.
