Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Digital Content Manager & Editor to lead the creation, refinement, and management of compelling digital content across various platforms. In this role, you will craft engaging stories, ensure content accuracy, and uphold editorial standards that resonate with diverse audiences. Your expertise will help elevate our brand voice, drive audience engagement, and maintain consistency in messaging. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to influence digital narratives through innovative storytelling and meticulous editing.

Responsibilities

Develop, curate, and oversee high-quality digital content aligned with brand goals and audience interests.
Lead editorial projects from conception through publication, ensuring deadlines are met and content is polished.
Write clear, engaging copy that adheres to AP style, Chicago Manual of Style, and other editorial guidelines.
Proofread and fact-check all content for accuracy, consistency, and grammatical precision.
Edit articles, blog posts, social media updates, and multimedia scripts for clarity, tone, and style.
Conduct research to support content development and ensure factual integrity.
Collaborate with writers, designers, and other stakeholders to produce cohesive narratives that tell compelling stories.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and timeliness.
Utilize word processing tools effectively to draft, revise, and finalize content pieces.
Stay updated on industry trends in journalism, technical writing, creative writing, and digital media to continually enhance content quality.

Qualifications

Proven experience in content writing, editing, or journalism with a strong portfolio of published work.
Excellent proofreading skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
Strong storytelling ability combined with copywriting expertise to engage diverse audiences.
Proficiency in research methods to gather accurate information for content development.
Knowledge of AP style, Chicago Manual of Style, and technical writing standards.
Experience managing editorial projects from start to finish within deadlines.
Exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
Familiarity with word processing software and content management systems.
Ability to adapt tone and style for different platforms while maintaining brand voice.
Creative thinking combined with strong editing skills to produce innovative digital narratives.
