Full Job Description

Zentra Business Solutions is a growing bookkeeping firm that partners with small businesses to provide bookkeeping, accounting support, and financial organization. We pride ourselves on accuracy, responsiveness, and building strong relationships with our clients.

We're looking for a detail-oriented Virtual Bookkeeping & Administrative Assistant who is eager to learn and interested in growing alongside our firm.

This position is ideal for an accounting, finance, or business student seeking hands-on experience in bookkeeping and small business operations.

What You'll Do

Administrative Support

Prepare client engagement letters and contracts
Create and send client invoices
Organize digital files and documentation
Assist with client onboarding
Perform general administrative tasks to support day-to-day operations

Bookkeeping Support

Organize receipts and supporting documentation
Enter bills and invoices into QuickBooks Online
Categorize bank and credit card transactions
Maintain organized financial records
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks

As your experience grows, you'll have the opportunity to assist with:

Bank and credit card reconciliations
Routine journal entries
Month-end bookkeeping procedures
Additional bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities

Qualifications

Preferred

Current student or recent graduate in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills
Strong written communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Comfortable learning new software and technology

A Plus, But Not Required

Experience with QuickBooks Online
Experience with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
Previous administrative or bookkeeping experience

Requirements

Must have a personal computer capable of running cloud-based accounting software and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace applications.
Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection.
Must maintain a secure, private workspace when handling confidential client financial information.
Must be authorized to work as an independent contractor in the United States.
