Full Job Description

Summary

The primary purpose of this role is to serve a business analyst to support the strategy and operational initiatives across Consumer Lending. This role plays a vital part in analyzing business processes, system workflows, and performance metrics to optimize the loan origination journey and support ongoing initiatives within the lending team.

Essential Functions

· Analyze and document current-state workflows from application to funding and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and areas for automation and enhancement.

· Translate business problems into clear funcation and technical requirements.

· Support project teams by writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and use case documentation

· Collaborate with product, credit, compliance, operations, and servicing teams to align on project goals and business priorities

· Support initiative s that enhance the loan origination process, including application intake, underwiting, processing, verification, and funding

· Work with data and reporting teams to define metrics and dashboards for lending performance (e.g. approval rates, funnel conversion, etc)

· Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), data validation, and issue triaging during system implementations or changes

· Maintain strong documentation and reporting standards

It is incumbent upon all employees to maintain current knowledge of and take personal action to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and ordinances as well as PenFed policies, procedures, rules and regulations applicable to incumbent’s professional duties, responsibilities and obligations.

Education and Experience

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

Bachelor’s Degree in related field required, advanced degree preferred

· Minimum 3 years of business or operations analyst experience in the consumer lending space (e.g. BNPL, Credit Cards, Auto Lending, etc)

· Deep understanding of the loan origination process, including credit evaluation, KYC/AML, Income and ID verification, and funding

· Experience working with lending platforms, loan management systems, and third party integrations (e.g. bank aggregators, fraud tools, etc)

· Hands on experience building or optimizing data sets and queries within data platforms, such as Snowflake

· Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

· Proficiency with tools such as SQL, Excel, BI platforms (Tableau, Looker, etc)

· Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, etc

· Experience working in agile or hybrid project environments

Supervisory Responsibility

This position will not directly manage staff

Licenses and Certifications

SnowPro certification, CCBA, and/or CBAP or equivalent is a plus

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

*Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.*

Travel

Ability to travel to various worksites is required.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
