This opportunity entails being responsible for supporting the development of business intelligence solutions by designing reports, writing queries, and assisting in data modeling and visualization. You will work with structured data to build dashboards and support decision-making processes. This role focuses on developing foundational skills in BI tools, SQL, and data storytelling while working in a collaborative environment.
Additionally, this position is responsible for providing toll technology support and analysis at a base or intermediate level. Supports implementation and operations for HNTB clients and offices. Provides support during phases of toll revenue collection system and operations life cycle from assessing current state to planning for the future. Provides assistance and supports the process from developing concept of operations through procurement of systems and services, and subsequently during operations.
Other essential functions include:
Supports planning activities such as assisting in the development of feasibility studies, assessments, concept of operations documents, procurement documents, implementation planning documents, and business/data analysis to support ongoing operations.
Assists with toll system implementation including support for oversight of design, testing, installation.
Supports project control activities related to toll projects, including schedule management, document management, version control, etc. May provide general analysis for cost estimates or other projections such as project analyst tasks including supporting project budgets (internal or for client), project status, and general support.
May assist with toll system implementation including support for oversight of design, testing, installation, and operations.
Develop, maintain, and optimize Python-based ETL processes to support automated data integration, transformation, and reporting.
Develop and maintain C# applications, websites, system integrations, and database solutions, including troubleshooting, enhancements, and ongoing system support.
What You'll Do:
Develops and maintains basic BI reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
Writes SQL queries to extract and transform data from relational databases.
Assists in building and maintaining data models and data warehouse structures.
Collaborates with analysts and business users to understand reporting requirements.
Documents data sources, report logic, and technical processes.
Learns and applies best practices in BI development and data visualization.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or
In lieu of education, 4 years of relevant experience.
What You'll Bring:
Familiarity with SQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and Power BI or Tableau.
Understanding of ETL processes and data modeling concepts.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
What We Prefer:
- Master’s degree in computer science
