Financial Analyst – FP&A, Operations & Business Analytics

Your Role

As Financial Analyst, you'll serve as a key business partner across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Leadership.

You'll own financial reporting, forecasting, operational analytics, and internal controls while helping build the financial infrastructure needed to support our next phase of growth.

What You'll Do

Accounts Payable & Internal Controls

Document and maintain the end-to-end Accounts Payable workflow.
Own the AP subledger and perform monthly reconciliations with the General Ledger.
Maintain an aged payables tracker and identify discrepancies.
Build and maintain an auditor-ready filing system for invoices, purchase orders, and payment records.
Support the implementation of Accounts Payable automation solutions.
Maintain vendor master files with proper documentation and internal controls.

Operations & Supply Chain Finance

Analyze Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), landed costs, and gross margin by SKU.
Support demand planning initiatives.
Develop freight and fulfillment cost models to improve procurement decisions.
Monitor inventory performance and financial impact.

Financial Planning & Forecasting

Partner with the Head of Finance to develop and manage the annual operating budget.
Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for executive leadership.
Own monthly forecast updates and budget variance analysis.
Build and maintain the company's rolling cash flow forecast.

Business Analytics & Performance Reporting

Create and maintain a single source of truth for key business metrics using Excel or Google Sheets.
Develop weekly and monthly KPI reporting.
Build dashboards tracking:
Revenue
Gross Margin
Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)
Lifetime Value (LTV)
Return on Ad Spend (ROAS)
Deliver financial analyses supporting pricing, promotions, bundling strategies, and commercial initiatives.

Sales Tax Compliance

Maintain sales tax nexus tracking across multiple states.
Reconcile sales tax data from Shopify and other commerce platforms.
Prepare sales tax filing schedules and collaborate with external accounting partners.
Reconcile collected versus remitted sales tax.
Maintain exemption certificate documentation.
Monitor regulatory changes impacting sales tax compliance.
Support sales tax audits and evaluate automation tools such as TaxJar.

Cross-Functional Partnership

Support the monthly close process through reconciliations and reporting.
Partner with Accounting, Operations, Marketing, and Leadership on financial initiatives.
Maintain financial models and reporting templates.
Prepare executive reporting materials and board presentations.
Serve as a resource for finance process improvements across the organization.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
3–6+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Finance, Accounting, or Financial Analytics.
Experience working in high-growth consumer brands, retail, beauty, CPG, or eCommerce environments is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
Experience with Accounts Payable and financial controls.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets skills with the ability to build scalable financial models.
Experience with Power BI or other visualization tools is a plus.
Shopify experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge of inventory accounting, supply chain finance, and gross margin analysis.
Familiarity with sales tax compliance across multiple states is preferred.
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Comfortable working independently with limited oversight while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
