American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a CCU/ICU position in Springfield, TN, requiring 2 years of ICU experience and a TN or compact RN license for night shift work in a small, community-focused critical care unit.

8-bed Critical Care Unit (CCU) in a community hospital setting
-
Adult-only patient population — no pediatrics
-
Patient diagnoses include DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, and post-cardiac catheterization care; not a specialized unit
-
Patient ratio is 2:1, occasionally 3:1 depending on staffing and acuity

Monitor tech support available on unit

Procedures performed include bronchoscopy, CVC line placement, chest tube placement, and bedside scopes (EGD, colonoscopy, PEG tube placement, trach placement)

EMR: MedHost
-
Equipment: Mindray Datascope monitors

Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week

Floating to other units may be required

13-week contract

Active TN or compact RN license required
-
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and CPI
-
NIH Stroke Scale certification required for ICU RNs

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/CCU experience required

Proficiency with ventilator management required

Experience with sedation drips, vasoactive drips, and CVC line care required
-
US SSN and DOB required for consideration
-
One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Provide critical care nursing to a diverse adult patient population in a small, community-oriented CCU
-
Many staff nurses have 5+ years of tenure and are deeply connected to the local community

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date; AHA or ARC certifications are accepted

Scrub/dress code is per facility policy
