Position Summary
The Commercial Carpenter is responsible for performing construction work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company quality standards. This position plays a key role in delivering successful projects through quality workmanship, teamwork, professionalism, and accountability.
Carpenter Foremen will also provide leadership, coordinate daily work activities, mentor crew members, and help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform commercial carpentry including framing, concrete formwork, finish carpentry, doors, hardware, and installation of building components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
- Complete assigned work safely, accurately, and efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
- Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and other trades to maintain project schedules.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Properly use and care for company tools, equipment, and materials.
- Identify and communicate safety concerns or jobsite issues.
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Participate in safety meetings and ongoing training.
Additional Responsibilities for Carpenter Foremen
- Lead, supervise, and mentor carpentry crews.
- Plan and coordinate daily work assignments.
- Monitor crew productivity and workmanship.
- Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and project schedules.
- Communicate daily progress and jobsite needs with the Project Superintendent.
- Promote a positive team environment while maintaining safety and quality expectations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of commercial carpentry experience required.
- 5+ years of experience and leadership experience preferred for Foreman candidates.
- Experience with commercial framing, concrete forming, and finish carpentry.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Willing to travel as needed.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday-Friday
- Typical work hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Work Location
Based in Pendleton, Oregon, with projects throughout Eastern Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. Most projects are within a 1–2 hour drive of Pendleton, with occasional travel to more distant job sites.

Pay: $35.00 - $74.67 per hour
