Full Job Description

Overview

CCSI is a national reservation and dispatch company providing transportation support for taxi, non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT), and paratransit services across the United States. We are looking for dependable, customer-focused individuals to join our team as Dispatchers.

As a Dispatcher, you will coordinate transportation services by working closely with customers, drivers, and clients to ensure timely and efficient service. You will monitor trips, resolve service issues, respond to emergencies, and communicate important updates to all parties involved. This position offers opportunities for increased responsibilities and higher earnings based on training, performance, and company needs.

CCSI operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Work schedules are posted one week in advance and are generally consistent from week to week.

All new hires receive paid training. Training begins with learning our reservation software and trip booking procedures before progressing to dispatch responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Schedule and coordinate transportation trips.
Monitor the dispatch system to identify and resolve service issues.
Ensure customers are picked up and transported on time.
Communicate trip information to drivers through dispatch software and by phone when necessary.
Cover difficult-to-service trips by advertising trips, contacting drivers, and following client-specific procedures, including offering approved bonuses when applicable.
Communicate with customers regarding delays, schedule changes, and trip-related concerns.
Communicate professionally with client representatives by phone, email, and other communication methods.
Respond appropriately to driver emergencies, traffic accidents, and other urgent situations while ensuring all incidents are thoroughly documented.
Work closely with reservation agents and other team members to provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
Ability to de-escalate difficult conversations with customers and drivers.
Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to type at least 45 words per minute.
Ability to quickly learn proprietary dispatch software.
Previous dispatch, logistics, or transportation experience is preferred but not required.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.

Experience

Customer service experience: 1 year preferred but not required.

Compensation

Starting Pay: $14.00 per hour

Employees may earn up to $18.50 per hour depending on successful completion of dispatch training, performance, and eligibility for incentive programs.

Attendance (On-time) Bonus

Earn an additional $1.50 per hour worked by arriving on time and working all scheduled shifts during the workweek.

Observable Performance Incentive (OPI)

Earn an additional $1.00 to $2.00 per hour worked based on demonstrated job performance.
Employees become eligible after 90 days of employment.

Spanish Language Bonus

Earn an additional $1.00 per hour worked for positions requiring fluent Spanish communication.
Fluency assessment may be required.
