We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist with patient activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Support medical procedures by preparing patients, maintaining aseptic techniques, and assisting healthcare professionals during treatments in settings like ICU, emergency departments, or outpatient clinics.
- Administer medications and perform basic medical tasks following HIPAA guidelines and medical documentation standards.
- Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, developmental disabilities, or behavioral health needs in memory or behavioral health units.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care across inpatient, outpatient, home care, or sub-acute environments.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols, practicing aseptic techniques, and managing patient records securely.
Skills
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities or in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or assisted living communities.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for accurate medical documentation.
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to assist with patient assessments and vital signs monitoring effectively.
- Experience with specialized care areas such as ICU (Intensive Care Unit), Level I trauma centers, pediatric units (PICU), or hospice settings.
- Ability to perform phlebotomy procedures and manage invasive devices like catheters while maintaining aseptic technique.
- Strong caregiving skills in geriatrics, pediatrics, acute care environments or behavioral health settings.
- Competence in emergency response procedures including basic life support (BLS) and handling infectious disease protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and provide compassionate patient service. Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
License/Certification:
