Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll functions.
Prepare monthly financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies, providing actionable insights to management.
Support annual audits and prepare necessary documentation.
Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
Function as a liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring that all client requests are addressed promptly.

Essential Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to summarize complex data into actionable insights.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desired Experience

Experience working in a remote team environment is preferred.
Experience in nonprofit accounting is a plus.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and client relations.
