Position opening:

Kitchen Operations Manager / Sous Chef

Job description:

Kitchen Operations Manager will be under the direct supervision of the Culinary Operations Manager.
During operating hours, all shifts will have a Manager on Duty to ensure efficiency standards on prep and the cook line are met. The Kitchen Manager will oversee and ensure food quality standards are met with a goal of minimizing waste. This position will be full time, requiring a scheduled minimum of 40 hours per week but will not exceed 45 hours per week without prior discussion. This position will require a combination of day and night shifts which will involve opening and locking up the restaurant. Manager must have an overarching knowledge of all menu items, prep tasks and a clear understanding for each of the responsibilities of every station on the line. The Kitchen Manager will have direct accountability for all culinary and staffing issues that arise on their assigned shift and will report to Senior Management regarding those issues. Manager will in turn be responsible for holding all staff under their direct supervision accountable for any and all issues.

Responsibilities:

● Ensuring food quality standards are met daily and on every plate that leaves the line
● Managing labor cost percentages to 25% or under during their shift, cutting labor when needed.
● Ensuring that all team members are working together and as efficiently as possible
● Promoting a culture of camaraderie, respect, safety and inclusion in our kitchen
● Working expo on the line and communicating closely with FOH staff and management during busy rushes to ensure smooth service
● Working with all staff and closely with designated prep staff to keep an accurate and efficient daily prep task list
● Placing food orders when Culinary Operationsl Manager is away
● Checking in orders and putting away/organizing all product upon delivery
● Handling Health or Fire Department inspections when Senior Management is away

Compensation:

● Starting Salary $47,500-$50,000
● Benefits including: Paid Time Off, 401K with up to 4% employer match, Group Medical Plan with Dental, Vision and Life options.
