Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Chef de Cuisine to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role is perfect for a motivated culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and is eager to showcase their leadership, creativity, and technical skills. As the Chef de Cuisine, you will oversee all kitchen operations together with our Executive Chef. You role will be to ensure the highest standards of food quality and safety, and inspire your team to achieve excellence in every plate served. Your expertise in fine dining, food production, and team management will be vital in elevating our culinary offerings and maintaining our reputation for outstanding service.

Duties

Lead and supervise the entire kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive work environment through the direction of our Executive Chef
Oversee menu planning, ensuring a variety of innovative dishes that meet quality standards and customer expectations with the Executive Chef
Manage food preparation and presentation to uphold the highest levels of culinary excellence
Implement and monitor food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
Control inventory levels through effective inventory management and inventory control practices with the Executive Chef
Oversee food service operations during shifts, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional customer satisfaction
Manage kitchen budgets, including cost control measures related to food management and labor costs with the Executive Chef
Train staff on food handling, dietary requirements, and hospitality standards to maintain consistency and quality
Conduct regular inspections of kitchen facilities to ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to sanitation protocols

Requirements

Proven experience in fine dining establishments
Supervising experience with a track record of leading successful culinary teams
Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and stellar plating
Experience with inventory management, inventory control, and cost control strategies within the food industry
Demonstrated ability to manage shifts effectively while maintaining high standards of service and quality
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative environment and leading with positivity
Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling practices
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments with a focus on serving diverse clientele including fine dining guests
Culinary expertise complemented by strong organizational skills in menu planning and kitchen operations
Ability to multitask efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
