Position Summary
McCormick Taylor has an immediate opening for a Site Civil Designer I to join our Energy/Utilities group. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative team environment. We are seeking an individual who can handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and work well in a remote office environment. This position is Hybrid, and the candidate will be expected to report to McCormick Taylor’s office on a weekly basis. Experience in Site Design, Water Resources, Erosion & Sediment Control, etc., is preferred. Strong written, interpersonal and oral communication skills, attention to detail and ability to organize is required.

Job Requirements:

Job Responsibilities
• Working closely with a Project Manager, Project Engineer, and a multi-discipline design team on a daily basis.

Supporting the design and production of civil site construction documents related to Energy/Utility Clients.

Job Requirements
• High School diploma or GED is required, Associates or Bachelor's degree in science or engineering preferred.

No prior experience required; however, candidates with 3 years of experience are preferred. Experience developing design documents (plans, permit applications, mapping) using CADD is preferred. Ideal candidate has experience developing documents for Energy/Utility Projects.
Basic understanding of site design, including grading and utilities.
Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about their respective discipline.
Functional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences.
Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
Strong ability to work in a team environment.
