Client Services Coordinator

Commonwealth Community Trust (CCT), located in Richmond VA, is a growing nonprofit organization that administers pooled special needs trusts for people who are vulnerable, injured, or have special needs. Our staff provides the highest quality of service based on best practices and the agency code of ethics. See www.trustcct.org.

As a member of the Client Services Team, the Client Services Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact and provides day-to-day administration for assigned special needs trust accounts. This position requires effective communication, strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and handle sensitive situations.

Essential Responsibilities

Day-to-day administration of special needs trust accounts including reviewing disbursement requests, preparing reports and presentations for the Disbursement Committee, and communicating with beneficiaries, their family members, and other professionals.
Provide customer service to clients and their advocates, and resolve problems in a sensitive, compassionate manner.
Prepare and maintain complete and accurate client data and communication in the CCT database and paperless document management system.
Coordinate and implement a client services plan for clients who need assistance with their trust.
Identify additional resources for clients, including case management services, government benefit eligibility, and caregiving needs.
Keep updated on Federal and State regulations related to special needs trusts and SSI and Medicaid benefits.
Complete reports and provide ongoing updates to management and the Disbursement Committee.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Ability to communicate professionally in writing, on the telephone, and in person.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Well-organized, self-motivated, and detail oriented.
Strong time management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines.
Ability to identify and escalate issues, as appropriate.
Ability to function effectively as part of a small team, working collaboratively and professionally.
Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, Monday.com, and customer relationship management (CRM) database systems such as Salesforce.
Basic online research skills.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in social work or related field or master's degree in business administration with education.
Experience in Trust Administration.
Resides in the Richmond, Virginia area and within a reasonable commuting distance to ensure ability to work onsite up to four days a week.
Any experience with the special needs community is a plus.

Salary and Benefits

This is a full-time, exempt position $65,000-$73,000 annually with generous benefits including vacation and paid time off, a health benefit, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, and a 403(b)-retirement plan.
