Full Job Description

We're an established, profitable industrial distribution company launching a brand-new in-house machining operation, and we're hiring the person who will build it and run it.

You'll be employee #1 of the shop: help spec and buy the equipment, set up the floor, program and run the work, quote jobs, and grow it into a real business with you leading it. We bring the capital, the space, and (ideally) the customers. You bring the craft and the drive.

What you'll do

Help select and set up machines, tooling, fixturing, and shop workflow from scratch
Program and run CNC work from CAM to finished, in-tolerance parts
Quote jobs accurately and profitably
Establish quality and inspection processes
Turn existing customer part needs into orders and grow those accounts
Hire and lead a team as the shop grows

What we're looking for

Experienced CNC machinist and programmer who can take a part from print to finished independently
Strong in CNC milling; turning, multi-axis, or EDM a plus
Proficient in CAM (Fusion 360, Mastercam, or similar); comfortable with prints and GD&T
Able to quote - you understand what a job costs and how to price it to win and still make money
Entrepreneurial; you'd rather build than maintain
Industrial automation, repair, or related manufacturing experience a plus

Competitive base salary ($90,000–$115,000 DOE) plus profit sharing in the business you help build
