Full Job Description

MidValley Family Practice is a small, independent primary care office located in Basalt, CO. We strive to always provide the best possible care to all of our patients and to the community. We are also working to innovate healthcare and healthcare payment models by participating in initiatives such as CPC+, PCMH (level 3), SIM, SHAPE, ACT, and more.

Job Responsibilities:

Code visits daily with awareness of contract billing guidelines and current ICD-10 coding requirements
Submit HCFA claims to insurance, making sure claims are "clean" and correct
Analyze trends in documentation by providers and surfacing outliers
Processing EOBs and payments to ensure that payments are correctly applied
Following up on claims that have processed incorrectly & submitting corrected claims or appeals as needed
Answering patient questions as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience coding from provider notes
AHIMA or AAPC coding certification
Ability to work independently
Great problem-solving skills
Enthusiasm for being part of a team

Benefits:

This position will allow for flexibility in terms of scheduling and much of the work can be done from home, although we will need you to be in the office at least part time.

Compensation will be commission-based on our percentage of collections and will depend on experience.
