Full Job Description

Position Title: Commercial Collections Manager

Advanced Recovery Group (ARG) is seeking an experienced and driven Commercial Collections Manager to oversee and lead a team of collection agents within the Merchant Cash Advance (MCA) and commercial collections industry. The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, along with extensive legal collections knowledge, including familiarity with pre-judgment and post-judgment recovery procedures.

This role is best suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can effectively manage team performance, and brings innovative ideas and operational strategies to improve efficiency, recovery rates, and overall department success.

Responsibilities

Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of 10+ commercial collection agents.
Provide ongoing coaching, performance management, and training to improve productivity and recovery results.
Oversee daily collection operations, cash flow recovery efforts, and department KPIs.
Handle and resolve escalated merchant matters professionally and effectively.
Generate and analyze team performance reports and financial recovery data.
Prepare cash forecasting reports based on payment history and outstanding balances.
Ensure proper legal collection procedures are followed on all pre-judgment and post-judgment accounts.
Work closely with legal teams regarding litigation, judgments, executions, garnishments, restraining notices, and enforcement strategies.
Maintain compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and industry standards.
Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, negotiation strategies, and overall department performance.

Requirements

Direct collections management experience is required.
Strong legal collections knowledge is required, including experience with pre-judgment and post-judgment collections procedures.
Minimum of 2+ years managing a collections team of 10+ employees, preferably within Commercial Financing and/or MCA collections.
Minimum of 2+ years of commercial debt collection management experience preferred.
Strong computer proficiency with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities.
Advanced computer proficiency, including collections software, CRM platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and Excel.
Ability to analyze large volumes of financial and operational data.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining professionalism and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
Prior experience/ knowledge in commercial litigation collections or legal recovery operations is required.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
