About Texas Local Media

We sell digital and community news advertising alongside the trusted reputation of some of the most recognized local publications across Texas.

In addition to our respected print publications, advertisers value that we offer a comprehensive suite of digital advertising solutions including programmatic, retargeting, email marketing, web ads and more. Businesses partner with us because we help them grow in the communities they serve.

We are expanding and our sales team plays an important role in that growth.

About the Role

As an Advertising Sales Associate, you will take ownership of the full sales cycle within your territory. This role would primarily focus on selling print and digital advertising solutions to advertisers in Cass County Tribune and Bowie County Citizens Tribune as well as a suite of digital options.

This is an active sales role. You will be responsible for prospecting new business, reconnecting with past advertisers, leading meetings with decision makers and closing business. Success in this position comes from consistent outreach, thoughtful follow up and the ability to confidently ask for the business.

You will build your own pipeline, develop relationships with local businesses and present strategic advertising solutions across both print and digital platforms. Our CRM and digital sales tools are designed to support your efforts and help you stay organized and effective.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable initiating conversations, asking the right questions and moving opportunities forward in a professional way.

Qualifications

Prior sales experience required (any industry) with a track record of closing business
Strong communication and relationship building skills
Organized and disciplined with your time
Comfortable with outbound prospecting and new business development
Ability to build rapport quickly with decision makers
Desire to grow professionally and financially
