Full Job Description

Salary: $100K-$115K

Overview:

The Sr. Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger by ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. This role plays a critical part in month-end close processes, financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and reclassifications.
Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare monthly and other ad hoc schedules as needed by the finance team.
Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and improve reporting accuracy.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
5-7 years of experience in general ledger accounting or similar role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Excel.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
CPA certification a plus.
Experience with ERP systems and automated reconciliation tools.
Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls.
