Position Overview
Facilities Technician is responsible for keeping CWK’s kitchens, storage, common areas, equipment & facility, as well as landscape, working and maintained properly according to manufacturer's and CWK’s directions. Maintaining and repairing equipment is a critical foundation that supports the food safety and success of more than 50 member businesses and the growing contract manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on position. For motivated individuals, it’s also a chance to demonstrate work ethic, learn, and take on additional responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair equipment on-demand and on a scheduled preventive maintenance schedule
- Work with external contractors and technicians as needed
- Assist with maintenance and upkeep of building and grounds
- Assist in answering doors, ensure any visitors are in compliance with visitor dress code and health/safety guidelines and escort to the CWK staff person or member they are visiting
- Monitor facility common areas (including loading docks, parking lot and dumpsters) proactively addressing any cleaning and organizing needs
- Responsible for shipping and receiving tasks as well as organizing storage areas
- Oversee day to day that supplies are stocked and readily available to Members & CoMan 24/7
- Execute cleaning tasks and adheres to SSOPs and completes all regularly scheduled cleaning (MSS)
- Maintain work areas in a safe, clean and organized state
- Other tasks as assigned at the discretion of the Director of Facility Operations and Kitchen Manager.
Reporting
- This position reports to the Director of Facilities
Qualifications Required
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with others
- Self-motivated, with a positive, can-do attitude and a problem-solving mindset
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs and be able to spend up to 8 hours on feet daily
- Mechanical aptitude and experience with preventive maintenance and repairs
Preferred
- Food industry equipment repair experience or similar experience
- Experience maintaining a commercial property and building structure
- ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, including residential painting and building repairs.
- Support manufacturing operations by maintaining production equipment and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement in facilities maintenance and operational efficiency.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and electrical equipment repair techniques.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) programming and troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC system repair, plumbing system maintenance, welding, and general machinery repair.
- Ability to read technical schematics and technical manuals accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English.
- Supervising experience or leadership skills in maintenance or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and documentation.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance best practices including MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations).
- Experience in residential painting or related finishing work is a plus.
Pay: $21.77 - $29.99 per hour
