Full Job Description

Position Overview

We are currently in search of a confident and compassionate veterinarian to join our veterinary healthcare team on a full-time or part-time basis. Both recent graduates and experienced veterinarians are welcome, and you will have the opportunity to leverage your extensive diagnostic skills, as our nursing staff is highly trained and fully utilized.

We are specifically seeking a self-motivated individual who is reliable, energetic, and committed to both teaching and learning. Our medical director is deeply dedicated to the educational aspect of our work, and our associates share a collaborative approach to patient care. Exceptional interpersonal skills, top-notch client service abilities, and strong communication skills are prerequisites for this role.

Practice Overview

We are privately owned and operated for 26 years in the San Antonio area. We take pride in our low turnover rates and the enduring longevity of our staff. Our AAHA accredited facility offers an excellent work environment, and we have a dedicated dental suite, reflecting our special interest in dentistry. We pride ourselves on fostering a bond-centered atmosphere that is both dynamic and professionally rewarding, all while maintaining our unwavering commitment to client and patient care. With cutting-edge tools like ultrasound, endoscopy, radiology, and multi-modal anesthetic monitors for every anesthesia case, we deliver outstanding care to our clients.

Our focus is on scheduled appointments, and we handle minimal emergency cases, prioritizing the importance of a healthy work load. On top of that, there are no on-call hours, and you'll have a dedicated weekday off.

What you'll be working on

Building and maintaining client relationships
Diagnose, treat, and maintain a variety of small animal cases
Provide education to clients and staff on recommendations and choices in care
Maintain a positive work environment
Guide, utilize, and mentor exceptional support staff

Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program, or equivalent from a foreign university required
Be licensed or able to be licensed in the state of Texas
Postgraduate small animal internship completion required
Minimum of two years of experience preferred; new grads encouraged to apply
Surgical experience preferred
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and personal development
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Demonstrated compassion for patients and clients
Ability to collaborate and work within a team environment

Pay: $120,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
