Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Chef to elevate our culinary offerings with exquisite baked goods and desserts. In this role, you will be responsible for creating visually stunning and delicious pastries, cakes, and confections that delight our customers. Your expertise in food preparation, cake decorating, and pastry artistry will contribute to a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties

Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, tarts, and confections with precision and creativity
Decorate cakes and desserts using advanced cake decorating techniques to ensure visual appeal
Package finished products efficiently while maintaining freshness and presentation quality
Assist in food production and food preparation tasks to support overall kitchen operations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station according to food safety standards
Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and hygiene practices
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new dessert recipes and seasonal specials

Skills

Extensive pastry experience with proficiency in baking, cake decorating, and confectionery arts
Strong knife skills for precise cutting, shaping, and decorating of baked goods
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
Excellent food industry knowledge including catering, restaurant experience, and kitchen operations
Skilled in packaging baked goods for retail or catering purposes
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional customer service skills to engage with clients or guests when needed
