Full Job Description

Our Morristown, TN location is looking for Product Packers across all shifts! Apply now to join our team today!

Shift A: 6:00am-6:00pm

Shift B: 6:00pm-6:00am

Monday- Thursday

Position Purpose:
Assure a quality product is efficiently produced and packed to specification in a safe and proper manner to ensure an on time delivery to the costumer.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Respond to/ and operate machines
Identify serious problems for maintenance
Assemble and pack boxes with light-weight packaging components consisting of yogurt and ice cream lids and tubs
Place boxes of finished goods on pallets approximately 24 times per hour
On occasion, lift boxes weighing up to 30 lbs. to a height of 6 ft. to put on pallets
Push boxes into case sealer
Deliver materials to machines (inserts, film, color, resin, etc.)
Inspect product as per quality standards and pack boxes
Apply proper labels and ID codes to boxes of products
Complete traceability forms and record production data into computer, verify the correct labels are applied to boxes and production information is correct.
Perform online quality checks every thirty (30) minutes
Maintain a clean and organized work area

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Skills/ Abilities:

Ability to effectively function in a broad-based, fast-paced work environment with minimal supervision.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English is a requirement.
Must be self-motivated to complete tasks in a timely manner
Strong communication and problem solving skills

Safety: To maintain proper safety standards according to established Sanitary and Housekeeping Practices (GMP Compliance). Proper use of all safety equipment i.e.: proper use of personal protective gear including ear plugs. gloves and safety glasses.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by employees to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be on their feet all day; standing, stooping, squatting and reaching can all be expected, along with lifting of up to 30 lbs. boxes of raw materials and finished goods.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
