Overview

Join our dynamic financial team as a Credit Analyst for Commercial lending, where you will play a vital role in assessing creditworthiness, managing risk, and supporting our lending operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in financial analysis, industry regulations, and risk management to make impactful decisions that drive our business forward. As a key contributor, you will analyze financial statements, conduct comprehensive risk assessments, and ensure compliance with lending standards to facilitate responsible credit extension.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed financial statement analysis and interpret complex financial data to evaluate borrower creditworthiness.
Perform risk analysis and develop credit reports that highlight potential issues and recommend appropriate credit limits.
Utilize financial modeling and forecasting techniques to project cash flows and assess repayment capacity.
Collect and verify relevant data from various sources, including industry reports, financial services databases, and internal systems.
Apply underwriting principles to evaluate loan applications, ensuring adherence to compliance with loan regulations and internal policies.
Engage in negotiations with clients to clarify terms, address concerns, and secure favorable lending agreements while maintaining risk controls.
Monitor existing portfolios for signs of fraud or financial distress, implementing fraud prevention and detection measures as needed.

Experience

Proven experience in financial analysis within banking, commercial lending, or financial services sectors.
Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field is preferred.
Strong background in accounting, finance, or related fields with familiarity in technical accounting practices.
Demonstrated expertise in financial statement interpretation, cash flow analysis, and quantitative research methods.
Hands-on experience with financial software tools for data analysis and reporting purposes.
Knowledge of industry-specific financial regulations and compliance standards governing loan origination and processing.
Experience in portfolio management, along with skills in industry knowledge of financial regulations.
Excellent math skills combined with the ability to write clear financial reports and perform quantitative analysis for decision-making purposes.
