Full Job Description

Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Seasonal Short-term Forklift Operator and be a vital part of our warehouse operations! This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy equipment, manage materials handling, and support efficient warehouse distribution during peak seasons. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy operating forklifts and other heavy machinery, and are eager to contribute to a well-organized supply chain, this position is perfect for you! Duties

Safely operate various types of forklifts including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
Assist in order picking using electric order picker equipment and ensure accurate selection of products for shipment.
Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments with precision.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic mechanical repairs or notify maintenance for more complex repairs to ensure machinery remains in optimal condition.
Support warehouse management system (WMS) data entry by updating inventory records and tracking materials movement.
Handle heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to OSHA safety standards to prevent injuries or accidents.

Experience

Prior experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, or similar heavy equipment is highly preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
Hands-on experience with order picking, shipping & receiving procedures, and materials handling in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting.
Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety practices.
Knowledge of hop industry
Warehouse experience involving load & unload activities, pallet jack operation, and heavy lifting is desirable.
