Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will lead the effort to secure funding by crafting compelling, persuasive grant proposals that align with our organization’s mission and strategic goals. Your expertise will help us expand our programs, strengthen community partnerships, and achieve sustainable growth. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact through strategic fundraising and resource development.

Responsibilities

Research and identify potential funding sources, including government agencies, foundations, and nonprofit organizations that align with our mission.
Develop comprehensive grant proposals, including narrative content, budgets, and supporting documentation, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and persuasiveness.
Manage and maintain detailed records of grant applications, deadlines, and correspondence using databases and similar tools.
Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary information for proposal development and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Monitor grant progress through reporting requirements, financial reports, and compliance documentation to ensure timely submission and adherence to funder guidelines.
Edit and proofread proposals for content quality, consistency, and technical accuracy while maintaining a compelling narrative tone.
Cultivate relationships with funders through strategic communication efforts to enhance ongoing support and future funding opportunities.

Experience

Proven experience in grant proposal writing within nonprofit or community organization settings.
Strong background in fundraising strategies, particularly within government agencies and nonprofit foundations.
Demonstrated expertise in contract management, database management, and content editing.
Knowledge of nonprofit program development, strategic planning, budgeting, and financial report writing.
Excellent research skills combined with persuasive writing abilities to craft compelling proposals that stand out to funders.
Experience managing multiple deadlines simultaneously while maintaining high-quality work standards.
Familiarity with technical writing, proofreading techniques, and content editing to ensure clarity and professionalism in all documents.
